Curaçao has about 70 registered scuba-diving spots.

In Curaçao one can scuba dive directly from the coast without the necessity to book an expensive boattrip. Curaçao is a vulcanic island which means that just a few minutes of swimming take you straight to the drop-off. From  there you can scuba dive to a depth of a 100 meters or more.

The rockfaces are completely overgrown with coral and the water teems with sealife. Between eight and thirty meters it’s crowded with eagle rays, seaturtles, moray, nurse sharks, seahorses, barracudas, lion fish, porcupinefish and many, many other sea creatures.

Scuba diving gear can be rented at several of the divingspots. Diveshops also offer scuba diving lessons for starters as well as advanced learners.
